External Step Unit

   The step unit enables women to enter and exit the pool with greater ease. It is primarily designed to be used with our New Active, Deluxe and Space Saver Pools which have internal seat/steps, but may be used with other pools as well.

   The step unit is a relatively light weight (5.5k) unit that can easily be moved once the woman is in the pool and used as a seat by her attendants.

   If you’re considering a step unit you also need to think about providing hand rails/supports to satisfy Health & Safety concerns.

   For the New Active Birth and Space Saver Pools a 1m safety rail can be fixed diagonally on the wall for the woman to hold onto as she steps up.

   The best solution is to fix a 3.75cm stainless steel or aluminium pole from the floor to the ceiling alongside pool. This will provide the woman with support from in or outside the pool, at whatever height she is obstruct the floor area around the pool.

   We suggest that you obtain a step unit if your pool has to be raised on 10cm legs to allow the drainage to be run along the floor.

   If your pool is at the lower height (drain taken down directly through the floor) you probably will not need the step unit.
